Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can make payments through your MyTrips account or by calling in and making a payment over the phone. You can access your MyTrips account by going to the Cruise Planners website here - https://www.rocktheboatcruiseandtravel.com/MyTrips/login

  • Passports are highly recommended for all travel that involves visiting another country. For some cruises that start and end at the same US port, however, guests can use a birth certificate and photo ID instead of a passport when checking in. It’s always good to ask before booking whether or not a passport is required.

  • We call it a homeschool cruise because we travel during off-peak times when homeschool families are typically available, we offer pre-cruise lesson plans and group excursions to match what we have learned, and we love connecting as homeschool families while on the ship together.

Everyone is welcome to join us, whether they homeschool or not. We have families that travel every year with us who do not homeschool, and we often have grandparents and extended family travel with us as well.

  • You can reach me anytime through our contact page or by emailing me at meghan.aitken@cruiseplanners.com. I am a homeschool mom and currently the only employee at Homeschool Cruises, so I do ask that you give me 24 - 48 hours to respond to your messages.

  • It does not cost extra to go on a homeschool cruise! We are compensated by commissions that are already built into the cruise fare, and oftentimes your price is the same or better than the price you would find on the cruise line’s website.

  • Absolutely! We host cruises every year that we lead, which means we cruise with you, host on-board activities, and lead group excursions for everyone. You are welcome to join us for one of our scheduled cruises, but if that does not work for you, we also plan group cruises and individual vacations for homeschool co-ops, family reunions, friend trips, girls weekends, family vacations, etc.
